Thank you for your patience during this time. Here is an update regarding expectations
and other information for your child(ren)’s education during this time.
1) Please remember to heed the warnings of the CDC and local authorities.
2) Wash hands frequently and avoid contact with others as directed.
3) Remember that St. Margaret Mary is a “Grab and Go” meal site during this crisis.
Meals will be served drive-thru style from 10:00 until 12:00. Please use the entrance
to the school closest to El Paso. Postponed until further notice.
March 19 and 20:
Please use the sign up link that was emailed to you by Gay Knock to schedule a time to
pick up your child’s classroom supplies. Teachers are gathering these materials that will
be used for Home Learning and placing them on the students’ desks. All materials will be
in the student’s homeroom class. Scheduled times are per family so that you only have to
make one trip. Please report to the homeroom class and the teacher will give the
materials to you at the door. Students who have lockers (5-7 grade) may retrieve items
out of locker during your scheduled time and also pick up band instruments as well.
Upon receiving your child’s materials, we are asking that you not congregate on campus
but return to your vehicle in order to keep the interactions at a minimum. Grades that do
not have to pick up supplies will be contacted by the individual teachers.
Beginning Monday, teachers will begin providing structured lessons. The format that is
currently set is:
1) On each Monday, teachers will upload a “packet” of assignments that are to be
completed during the week. On Monday, the teacher will upload an introductory
video explaining the expectations for the week. Teachers will post Monday
information on RENWEB announcements and in their usual locations. Details on
where to get the video will be posted here. Follow-up videos will appear on
Wednesday and Friday to go over the work assigned for the week or model
expected goals. Printed packets will be available in the main office each Monday by
10:00 a.m. for those who cannot print the work packets each week.
a. Grades PK – 4 will be posted under the Homeroom class.
b. Enrichment teachers and Middle School Teachers will upload to their
individual student classes.
If you have not activated or recently accessed your RENWEB account, please send
your email address and your child’s name and grade to smmschool@saintmm.org.
You will then receive an email providing access to your RENWEB account.
2) Teachers may work in tandem (by grade level) to present lessons. On that note,
Mrs. Parfait’s middle school classes will be guided by Mrs. Walker. Please keep
Mrs. Parfait and her family in your prayers.
3) Parents are encouraged to review the work with their child and contact the teacher
for additional assistance as needed. Teachers may choose to address the concerns
individually or via the Wednesday/Friday video. Teacher email addresses are their
first initial and last name @saintmm.org.
4) Please retain all packets to submit to the teacher upon our return.
5) Please remember that we are working to meet the variety of situations that may be
present in your home. If you have a suggestion for improving or modifying the
existing format, please email me with the name of your child, grade, teacher, and
specific concern. We are dedicated to providing a home learning program that
keeps your child engaged and learning.
All classroom related questions can be directed to the classroom teacher. If you have policy and/or administrative concerns, please feel free to contact the school between 9:00 and 2:00, or send your questions to any of our administrators via email.
Thank you, and may God send bless us with patience during this time.
Sincerely,
Christopher Collins
Interim Principal
