The mission of the St. Margaret Mary Advisory School Board, as stated in its bylaws, is to “operate only in an advisory capacity to the pastor and principal to set the school’s goals and direction.” Board members meet regularly with the pastor and principal, aiming to advise in the areas of Mission Advancement/Catholic Identity, Strategic Planning, Public Relations, Finances, Facility Management, Crisis Management/Safety, and Special Projects. The Board may be comprised of school parents, alumni, or active SMM parishioners, as well as representatives from the SMM Parent-Teacher Organization, the SMM Men’s Club, and the Pastoral Council. All recommendations and suggestions presented by the Board are taken into consideration by the priest and principal, who are ultimately responsible for the day-to-day operations and decision making processes within the school.
If you have a concern or issue you would like to address with the SMM Advisory School Board, please contact Mr. Collins at (985) 643-4612 or [email protected].
